Journey: Don’t Stop Believing (Glee, Monster)
Don’t Stop Believing es una canción de la banda fundada en San Francisco, Estados Unidos en 1973 llamada Journey y fue iniciada por un grupo de ex músicos del conocido guitarrista Carlos Santana. Journey conoció la fama en 1981 al lanzar su octavo trabajo discográfico titulado “Escape” en el cual están incluidos temas musicales como Open Arms, Who’s crying now y Don’t Stop Believing.
Fue ésta canción un clásico de los ochenta y fue el tema principal de la película biográfica “Monster” protagonizada por la bella actriz Charlize Theron ganadora del Oscar por su actuación en dicha cinta la cual está basada en la historia real de la asesina en serie Aileen Wuornos. El tema tiene su pegada eso sin duda y por si fuera poco también es uno de los temas principales de la serie musical “Glee” Don’t Stop Believing fue la que más sonó en sus anuncios promocionales e incluso se realizó más de un cover de dicha canción para la serie.
En cuanto a la banda, el vocalista principal Gregg Rolie fue reemplazado por Robert Fleischman en 1977 quien tiempo después también sería remplazado po Arnel Pineda, la banda tuvo un largo periodo de receso desde 1987 hasta que volvieron a juntarse en 1996 y aun realizan giras y presentaciones incluso Journey estuvo presente en el Festival de Viña del Mar 2008.
